A little bit about Carla

Brief background

I was born and raised in a beautiful little town on the Puget Sound in Washington state. I have always loved the outdoors, especially the water, swimming, being with friends, taking long walks and camping. Although my academic background is in PNW and Native American history, I moved to San Francisco in 1994 to see what else was out there for me. I fell into technology sales and program management after my daughter was born. Although the tech industry has been very good to me, yoga has given me the peace and connections that I treasure. Thus, I have opened a new chapter in my life through Yoga Events Sacramento.

Yoga Journey

I started yoga at my local gym in 2009 and never looked back. I had such wonderful teachers and experiences. My love for yoga and the benefits I have received propelled me towards becoming a yoga teacher, to share this as a wonderful resource to other students. I received my 200 hour RYT Sacramento in 2017, followed by specialized yoga certificates in yin, aromatherapy, accessible yoga, meditation, prenatal, and pelvic floor.

My specialty is teaching accessible yoga. This means, that no matter your ability or disability, my yoga classes are for you. I offer modifications, easy to follow instructions a very welcoming atmosphere for all.

Check out my blog for my own personal story of practicing yoga with physical limitations.
